Enjoy a day of fun and inspiration singing African and African-American traditional music in community.
Singers and non-singers alike will share the common experience of singing in the African and African-American oral tradition of call-and-response. We will be singing rhythmic ritual chants, calls, spirituals and gospel music. This is a music of hope, faith, renewal and freedom.
This workshop is open to everyone and anyone – regardless of experience. No sight-reading necessary.
